The local centers called Anganwadi centers would be established across the state. They would facilitate public service to the children upto 6 years of age, adolescent girls and pregnant and lactating women. Join hands with government by contributing 30% that is less than $5,000 of the building of an Anganwadi Center in a chosen village. The center would be named under the Donor's name.
7,000 new Anganwadi Centers would be established under MGNREGS during the year 2016-17. The Government of India and State Government are sanctioning Rs 7 lakhs for each Center under this scheme. The estimation provides only Hall, kitchen, store, antenatal room and Toilet etc with a total area of 600 square feet.
