There are some people whose very presence light up your spirits. Today, we were delighted to have Ms. Aruna Miller grace the premises of the Special Representative for North America’s NRI cell at the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Commissioner's office in Vijayawada. It was a day filled with a lot of meaningful engagement where we were honored to share our ideas with Ms. Miller and reflect upon her feedback, along with charting new courses that would strengthen our campaign to connect the NRIs back with their motherland in a productive fashion.
Greeting her generous presence was our Joint Commissioner of the PR&RD department Shri. Vara Prasad Garu, along with the Deputy Commissioner Smt. Shilpa Kanuri Garu. Shri. Pratyush representing the Office of the Commissioner of School Education Department accompanied the welcoming honor. Post reception, the order of the day was to discuss the initiatives undertaken by APJanmabhoomi under the Special Representative for North America.
As a Telugu NRI, Ms. Miller was exceptionally impressed by the designs of the campaign, praising the presentation we delivered to highlight our endeavor. She had some extremely useful feedback that we would love to integrate into our plans. We have been trying to test many ways to engage the NRI who can expression their passion for the motherland through heartfelt contribution towards the future of the Sunrise State. Struck by the novelty of the cause, she promised to not simply do her bit for her motherland but also help us grow.
Identifying with the cause of Digital Classrooms especially well, she felt the innate need to expand the range of opportunities for the children of the state. She has expressed interest in going back and interacting with the children for at least 2 hours virtually. She was impressed with the crematoriums project too! And that's not the end of it, she is enthusiastic to take this initiative forward in the USA too in the form of campaigns to spread awareness about the need to contribute towards Andhra Pradesh social development!
How happy was the day? Sharing her happiness to be present at our cell, she made it a point to complement the Twitter campaign for the National Women's Parliament. Our hearts were warmed by the benevolence of her presence, and much ahead of this wonderful day, we shall continue to seek her blessing in making the APJanmabhoomi campaign an even bigger success.
